Adding Columns and Views to Permission Group
I would like to be able to view a permission group in a better way. Currently, it has over 400 users and I would like to create views based on columns to help see different groups within this permission group. Is there a way to add extra columns in a permission group? Or even create a view based on current columns such as Title and Department. Thank you, David

Hi, According to your description, I have found a 3rd party tool which called SharePoint Column/View Permission. It can: 1. Assign read-only/edit permissions for individual columns within a SharePoint list view, or hide the columns entirely. 2. Assign form-level permissions for the "create new item", "edit item" and "view item" forms (hide specific fields completely, or restrict them to read-only access). For more information, please refer to: http://www.sharepointboost.com/columnpermission.html Best Regards David Hu

Sorry, I think you misunderstood. I'm not trying to restrict a column by permission group. I have a permission group that I want to be able to filter by meta data. For example, I have a group called Employees with 400+ users in it. I want to create a column for that group called Office and another one called Section. This way, I can view smaller subsets of the same permission group using a view. The problem is that the permission groups are not standard lists and you can't add columns or views out of the box. Any recommendations?
