Add SR workflow to SET with large number of users
I need some clarification about how FIMMA import profiles run technically when dealing with SET with large number of users > 100,000 I ran workflow to add SR to the users do I need to wait for the whole users and EREs to be processed "Post Processing" or I can directly run delta import from the synchronization manager (which will take care of the pending stuff in FIM). what if I run a workflow to remove SR, then another one to add another SR are FIM going to process them in order.

Has to be done before you can run the delta import. The synchronization only does the synchronization based on what EREs are attached to the object you're projecting into the metaverse. If it doesn't have those EREs because the workflow hasn't finished, it won't do the correct thingex-MSFT developer, now FIM/MIIS/ILM/WPF/Silverlight consultant | http://blog.aesthetixsoftware.com/

You can run delta import whenever you want. At the time the import runs the current change log will be processed. If you're executing 100,000 SR WFs and run the import before they've all finished the synchronisation engine will only process the completed subset of those targets. If you run another WF to remove and another to Add you will see three EREs hit the Sync Engine. Two will be deleted on next export and the most recent one will be applied, if provisioning is turned on.

Hi There, As Paul noted, the delta synchronization would pick them up through the change log dynamically where the ones that were processed would be picked up for the run of the delta. You'd continue to run delta's until such time as the entire process is completed. This process would work as well for the second case of removing and adding an SR to an object however, at 100,000 objects, I would begin to ask if it is more beneficial to just run the full synchronization once the object updates were completed in the FIM Service itself. Thanks B

I don't know why I thought that "delta import" profile on the FIMMA will not complete until all the pending processes on users is finished on the FIM service, anyway is there a way to get the percentage of work done in FIM service, it would be a great feature if we have a progress indicator.
