Active Directory groups do not define access on my MOSS Standard install!
Hi, My MOSS Farm is on domain A. My users are on domain B. If I add an Active Directory group on domain B that is full of users it makes no difference to what users can and can not see...No effect at all. The AD group shows in sharepoint - it is configured correctly in sharepoint! Anyone?

Hi,Please clarify,do you mean that users from Domain B can access the SharePoint in domain A, or not?and how it makes no difference to what users can and can not see?Best Regards,

Steve, your question is not very clear. But general question: did you configured trust between domains? Domain A should trust domain B in order to be able to login into Sharepoint under accounts from domain B.http://sadomovalex.blogspot.com

Hi, To clarify - there are 2 domains: A and B. SharePoint is on A. Users plus AD groups are on B. If i add an AD group to sharepoint then users in that AD group can not access sharepoint... Using MOSS standard medium farm...There are bi-directional trusts in place...
