Please don’t post the same message into multiple forums. Here is the same answer I gave to you in the other forum. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrdcm/thread/5a3caaf3-6b4a-4b7a-9a68-497a7376d3b0#179c59a5-4680-47b7-9323-d5f16a0a36f3 Yes, you should extend the schema but no you don’t have to do it. You will lose some functionality if you don't do it. No there are no issues with extending the schema. http://www.enhansoft.com/

Extending the AD schema is not obligatory if you will use SLP but it is for some features. Read more http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb694066.aspx. And in plus, the ConfigMgr AD extsch has nothing to do with Exchange or other products, and these are just some attributes who will be added in AD schema http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb693614.aspxBechir Gharbi | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/bgharbi/

Each application that updates the AD schema does so for its own purposes and thus each extends it in its own unique ways. You cannot expect the Exchange team know about let alone take into account anything from another product team. I highly recommend you do some research though so that you are well-informed of what the schema is and does: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc773309(WS.10).aspx.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys
