Account mayhem
Hey, I have installed a new SCOM 2007 without reporting services (RS) a few months ago, but now I've decided to get reporting working too. Having installed RS I've started receiving error messages regarding SQL login -- in the RMS's eventlog and in the SQL server's log too. Event Id:31557, Source: Health Service Modules, Type: Error, User: N/A Failed to obtain synchronization process state information from Data Warehouse database. The operation will be retried. Exception 'SqlException': Login failed for user 'MySCOMDRAccount'. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. It seems like MySCOMDRAccount is an SQL account even though I have a Domain\MySCOMDRAccount... so I've run thru Run as Accounts/Profiles/User Roles several times, but I CAN'T for my life find any SQL login accounts. Both my simple auth. accounts are set to empty (user: <space>, password: <space>) my RS execution account/Windows service account is set and checked. I can't figure out where SCOM hid this SQL login I've even created a Domain\SCOM_DR2 user and set it according to the datareader role, but still 'MySCOMDRAccount' pops up in the eventlog. Thanks for the help, Attila

Hi, Please check if any information as below will help: Login failed for user 'username'. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. Thanks for answering, though the question was not about installing. I've read those prior to the RS install, but I've probably missed something that even the 70+ page security guide won't answer. I will keep on trying and let readers know if something positive happens.
