Hello, I have installed this solution through power sell

However when I go to deploy it according to this post

http://www.sharepoint2010blogger.com/2010/08/10/how-to-use-the-property-bag/

I got an access denied error.

The ULS Logs only show that error, Access Denied, no more details.

 

I have tried this with a farm administration user, that user also is in the local admin group.

I also tried loging in to sharepoint with the user we installed sharepoint, and it didnt work either.

 

Its strante becausevisual studio solutions are also deployed.

run the powershell/command promt using "run as Administrator". that should fix yor problem

so, is this a bug in sharepoint? its really weird

This is not a bug, its a security feature build in recent Operating Systems (vista,Windows7 and Windows 2008)

For reference, if you receive this error when deploying in Central Administrator, try opening it again with elevated privileges (run the Central Administrator link from the Start Menu). As VinodKumar has shown the issue is you don't have elevated rights. Likely you accessed Centra Administrator from an unelevated IE window. 

in my situation, I also encountered same error, I solved it...

change another farm-administrator will be ok

I have 2 farm administrator: domain\sp-farm, domain\administrator

sp-farm not have local server system administrator's right, but login as domain\administrator, it worked, domain\administrator has the right of local server's administrators group
