I faced a different issue SP 2013 Discussion Board, I have a site (Http://mysite:8080), in the there is a subsite (http://mysite:8080/discussion), in this discussion page (http://mysite:8080/discussion), I added a Discussion Board (List) Namely myDisussion (URL: http://mysite:8080/discussion/Lists/myDiscussion). The Site and Subsite has Inheritted permission and myDiscussion has unique permission.

I have two groups GroupA and GroupB, both has permission level Full and read respectively for both sites and subsites but myDiscussion has unique permission, GroupA and GroupB has contribute and Read respectively. Now I added a user "Testuser" in both group. (Testuser has Full and read permission for sites and subsites and contribute and Read permission for myDiscussion list).

My issue is:

When I try to Reply as a first user (using Testuser account) for a Discussion created by another user i got error "Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource.".

But When try after relying from system account (testuser account reply as a second user), I don't get mentioned error while replying and reply submitted successfully. What is the issue and how to solve

I selected "Create and Edit All Items" option in Create and Edit Access in the Discussion Board Advanced Settings. Now It works fine.
