Abort pxe error
i advertise task sequence to a collection which has three machines and one machines boots into pxe and then it goes to SCCM whereas in rest of the two machines, i get IP from DHCP and then it says ask your WDS administator for the following message and then it goes to request pending and it goes directly to abort pxe file and exiits from pxe.Regards, Shweta Karalkar

What is the exact message you are seeing with regards to WDS? Was WDS configured outside of SCCM? is there an option configured where the Administrator needs to approve requests? Kind Regards, Tom Ziegler http://www.sccmguy.com | Twitter @Tom_Ziegler

Have not configured anything regarding admin approval, DHCP is configured on cisco router, SCCM, WDS on 2008 server machine. Then i advertise my task sequence to a collection which has three mahicnes, one machine after DHCP it goes to SCCM server and then f12, PXE boots to the file. Where as when i try to boot other two machines, it goes to DHCP then it display a message which states ask your WDS admin to above the below request then it gives request ID and immediately goes to system32\..abortpxe.exe and then says press f1 to setup...etc, please suggest which this happens so that i will verify all the options.Regards, Shweta Karalkar

on your server running wds, start the wds mmc, check the PXE response settings, remove the checkmark from 'For unknown clients, notify administrator and respond after approval' My step by step SCCM Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

Hi Shweta, Based Niall's suggestion, do the other two machines who aborting the PXE are unknown computers? If so, Niall was right. You should clear the approve needed by administrator setting for unknown computers. And the detailed steps are: click start -> run, input MMC then click OK In the Opened Console, click File -> "Add/Remove Snap-In..." In the Available snap-ins list select "Windows Deployment Services" click Add to add to Selected Snap-ins list. Click OK In the console's left tree view, expand "Windows Deployment Services" -> Servers -> "Your WDS server name", right click, select Properties In your WDS server properties window, select "PXE Respones" tab verify "Respond to all client computers (known and unknown)" is selected verify "Require administrator approval for unknown computers..." is unchecked Thanks
