Hi guys, Next week i'm deploying to 120 servers 140 security, and critical patches. i've already made the collection, and the everything is almost ready. My question is, when i'm in the Deploy software update wizard in the Restart settings section, i'm NOT checking with "V" the option to "allow systrm restart outside the maintenance windows". this is because i don't want the servers to start restart during the day. When i'm almost at the end of the wizard in the SCHEDULE window, i'm CHECKING the "V" in the option "Ignore maintenance windows and install immidately at deadline", (i'm setting the deadline to 0:00 and the maintenance window for the servers collection is between 00:00 to 04:00). My question is, will the servers will restart ONLY in maintenance time according to the settings i've mentioned i want to configure, OR they will restart also outside the maintenance window. Your answer is very important to me, i don't want the production servers to restart outside the maintenance hours (i'm NOT checking with "v" the option to "allow systrm restart outside the maintenance windows). p.s Oh, one more thing, in the Restart window i did not choose to supress servers (i want them to restart otherwise i wouldn't be writing this post). Hello - I think, if you don't want to restart the servers OUTSIDE the maintanance window then NO need to check or enable both options (Ignore maintenance windows and install immidately at deadline & allow system restart outside the maintenance windows). Hi there An00p, first of all thank you for the tip, i added it to my favorites -:) And btw, if you'll read my post carefully you'll see that i've written that i don't want to restart the servers outside maintenance hours ---> "i'm NOT checking with "V" the option to "allow systrm restart outside the maintenance windows". this is because i don't want the servers to start restart during the day" I think you got a bit confused, other wise the servers would restart if i'll check the above option with "V". so there's only one V i want to check,hope you understand me better now. Hello - i still think, you don't need to check any "V" for any of the options that you have mentioned. (Ignore maintenance windows and install immidately at deadline & allow system restart outside the maintenance windows). Do you need to check V on the below option >?
