Is it supported to have the ATA Center running in Azure?
I can see having gateways for packet capture in Azure would not be possible. Is it supported to have gateways in Azure for all their other functions?

Hi Ryan,
Having the ATA Center running in Azure has not been tested yet.
Having said that, technically there should be no reason why you could not install the ATA Center as a Azure VM assuming you have network connectivity to the ATA Gateways which are installed on-premises. You would need to take into consideration the data being sent from the ATA Gateways to the ATA Center.
Depending on the size of your deployment would dictate the size of the VM you would need for the ATA Center.
For more information about sizing your ATA Center, see

We do not support deploying the ATA Gateway in Azure at the moment.

Hi Gershon
Thanks for coming back so quickly.
I'm looking at this from a perspective of architecting it for our customers. As many of them are using hybrid cloud scenarios there may be the necessity to use Azure for the ATA Center.
Do you know if there are any plans to offer the ATA Center as a PaaS/SaaS solution in Azure?
Thanks again
Hi Ryan,
We are working on a best practices document on running the ATA Center as an Azure VM and we would be happy to work with you to understand your customer's scenarios.
Yes, we are thinking about ATA Center as PaaS/SaaS solution, just cannot commit to when it will be available.
Thx
