AD users can't be found but can be imported
I did a "start full import" in User Profiles and Properties and I got the correct users from the AD. But I can't find them in people and groups. So I can't add themin my site collection. I can't even find them in the SSP admin site. What can be the cause? does something needs to be updated?

Hello Lahey, If you cannot find the users in the Shared Services administration site, I suspect that the profile import has not been correctly finished. Please let us know some more information about this case: If Service Pack 1 and other updates have been applied to your SharePoint product. The process you import the user profile. Some information about the source AD. Check the import logs and cite it to us. The logs are located at:Shared Services Administration - <SharedServicesName> - User Profiles and Properties View Import log. Thanks. Best Regards, Lionel

I fixed it!The problem was caused by a duplicated SID because the server was cloned. I used NewSID to change the SID.My site collection is still working after running the program, but I suggest you make a backup.

Peoplepicker-searchadcustomfilter: Stsadm property (Office SharePoint Server) I had a similar problem. Setting the above property solved my case. There was some junk value set for that property. Now I set that to empty. Thanks a lot guys!!!
