AD Site Boundaries change automatically
Good time of day everyone!
We have the following configuration:
Single forest, single domain, multiple sites, domain and forest level 2003.
Single primary SCCM 2007 SP2 R2 site and two secondary child sites.
Each SCCM Site is assigned with certain AD sites during deployment stage.
At the moment (3 months after deployment) I found that site boundaries changes.
For example, Primary SCCM site assigned with correct AD site and one AD site which must be assigned only to secondary SCCM site.
The first SCCM secondary site is assigned with correct AD site boundaries.
The second SCCM secondary site doesn't have any boundaries at the moment.
This situation changes randomly.
Changing of site boundaries is permitted only for my account and
NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. I'm sure that I didn't change the boundaries.
How can I assign site boundaries which will not be changed anymore?MCTS, STS, TCSP

Boundaries are usually never ever changed automatically by default. I can't think of any ConfigMgr mechanism that would be able to do that.

I agree with Torsten, if you are having a problem like that, then you should call CSS and have them track down what is going on.http://www.enhansoft.com/

In my opinion, it's only possible if IP subnets are not configured properly in AD site. There is no such things can be happened.
If you want it really to be investigated, pls set your site boundaries according to IP Subnets only and monitor it closely.
Thnx.

If you look at the boundaries at your primary site, I'm pretty sure that the Site column for the "wrong" boundary will tell you the name of the secondary site. If so, your boundaries are correct and you are only seeing replicated info.

Yes, yor're right!
The boundaries in primary site tell the name of the secondary site. If this situation is normal I have no more questions.
