I’m working on a domain migration project where we are migrating servers to another forest (user accounts are already migrated to target domain with SID history). In the source domain we have an NAS box on which shared data is located. These shares has permissions assigned with source domain accounts. I guess we can’t use ADMT security translation on that box. So what is the best way available for security translation in this scenario or what different approaches we can adopt to translate security on this data to include the target forest users.

You can use RICHCOPY upgraded version of ROBOCOPY to copy shares with ntfs permission.
