ACS dtpartition table
I've set up ACS in my environment; when looking intot the database I see ACS creates a new partition record every minute; I thought it should be one every day.
I've changed the dtconfig record with id=6 to a value 2880 to be able to hold 2 days
My Acs collector is installed on a Windows 2003 Server, the ACS database is hosted on a SQL 2008 R2 instance on Windows 2008 R2
Has anyone seen this behaviour ?

I've googled and I found the flog
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ericfitz/archive/2008/07/17/acs-event-retention-mechanism.aspx; in this blog a reference is made to the dtconfig with id=5 (partitionduration). In my environment the value was = 0
I've changed dtconfig:
id=5 : value 0 -> 86400
id=6 : value 2880 - 15
For the moment no new partitions are created anymore, I'll check tomorrow if I got indeed one partition by day
