ACS Errors
Hi Jan The 4618 and 4620 events can be ignored - as you say, they are related to the partition closing. You should also see 4616 and 4619 events at the same time stating connection to the database is established and a new partition is created. These can all safely be ignored if they are just happening once a day at the time when partitions are closed, dropped and created. Hi, I have one ACS collector 2007 R2 and ACS database is on the same server. Server is really powerfull. Database is configure to store data for 365 days and we use quite large noise filter. ACS works fine but every day I get several errors in 2 seconds. Of course about 1:00 AM (DB partition closed and open new). --------------------------------------- EventID 4620: Database partition closed: Guid: e46e4c51_745b_4a45_9cd1_ea59b28a6b53 Status: 0x00000005 -------------------------------------- EventID 4618: Error occured on database connection: Status: 0x0021C001 ODBC Error: 0 ODBC State: 08S01 Message: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Communication link failure Database: SqlWriter Connection: Partition --------------------------------------- Error occured on database connection: Status: 0x00040000 ODBC Error: 4624 ODBC State: 01000 Message: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot grant, deny, or revoke permissions to sa, dbo, entity owner, information_schema, sys, or yourself.
