8.1 Time Synch Issues

Has anyone experienced problems with internet time syncing. When I turn my desktop on it is never at the right time and I have to manually correct it. I have scanned etc for a possible virus but the system returns a clean bill of health. The machine is a Lenovo H520 and I have checked the motherboard with the Lenovo proprietary software which also reports all is well.

Additionally this computer has started powering on when the wall power outlet is switched to the on position with no input from me at the actual machine on button. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I have researched for a solution but came up empty handed.

It should be a faulty BIOS battery, and probably something to do with SMPS since iyt powers on without the push button on the CPU.

I would suggest you to check with Dell on battery, as well as power button fault.

Hello Arnav

I will explore the battery solution and order replacement. Is there any specific tests you know of for the bios battery?
