32 character/number file names starting to build up in root of e: drive (Where SCCM 2012 PrimaryServer is installed)

Hello,

The Monday following sccm 2012 r2 to sp1 (Which was last Saturday), I have 32 character/number file names starting to build up in root of e: drive (Where SCCM 2012 PrimaryServer is installed).

Looks like they are left over from the upgrade, but is it safe for me to delete them.  Looks like they are locked and can't be deleted?  I already rebooted the Primary server after the upgrade.

Thanks,

Mark

Not really sure if they are from the upgrade to sp1, but the upgrade was saturday and the issue started the following Monday. I am able to delete some of these files, but other I can't.  The folders appear to contain the same thing.  They don't seem to be recreating since that Monday, but are a pain to go through and do occupy over a GB of data.

Thanks,

Mark

I would think that if the problem started on Monday and you updated on Saturday then I would think these two events are unrelated.

Again, these folders are generally created by Software Updates when they are applied.

Try deleting them as the local system account, use the psexec trick to do this.
