2nd reboot after computer migration needed

Hi everyone,

I am curently setting up a test environment using ADMT 3.2 re-release and so far i have been successful in user and computer migration, however i do find that after the computer migration and ADMT reboot the workstation i have to do a 2nd reboot before i can log in to the new domain? I will post a screenshot once i do another test migration later today.

Has anyone seen similar thing?

Also my post migration check also fails but the actual migration of the computer works a treat and i am able to log in to the workstation after the 2nd reboot. Again i will post screenshot later today.

Has anyone seen similar thing?

I followed this guide https://blog.thesysadmins.co.uk/admt-series-1-preparing-active-directory.html to the letter just in case this helps :)

Hi,

Reboot twice is expected in using ADMT. Computers need to be reboot twice to learn any domain changes.

Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now

Hi Shaon,

I had read that somewhere but no where I could find any documentation. I thought the first reboot which ADMT will do would take care of the domain joining etc.

Is this documented anywhere about 2 reboots? Also should ADMT reboot my machines twice or should I just keep rebooting the last time manually?

Just want to know if I am doing something wrong here.
