2012 R2 SP1 secondary site stuck in upgrade

hi,

I applied 2012 R2 SP1 (we were running 2012 R2 cu4) to our primary site and it upgraded correctly without issue. I then upgraded the secondary site servers from the site administration and it has worked on all of them but one.

I started the upgrade and the install status shows all the pre-reqs passed but then nothing has happened since. All our secondary sites are fairly slow links but it has now been like that for 4 days, just saying upgrading.

On the secondary site server the configmgrsetup logs show an entry just after the pre-reqs saying starting setupwpf and then exiting setup bootstrapper but nothing after that.

There is no retry option and i have tried rebooting the server and no change.

Hi,

What's the installation status from the console?

I saw a similar case with yours. But some steps of the solution are to edit the database directly. This is not supported by Microsoft. So I suggest you open a case with Micr

still stuck in the upgrade. anyone know a way to cancel it? don't want to have to delete the site server and start again

Then at this point it should be copying the files down to the server. Check the admin share on the machine to see if it has incoming files and look at the .rst file in there to see what it is doing.

do you know the file names of one of the files it should be copying down? the log files in the root (ConfigMGRSetup) have not changed since it passed the prereq.

I can't find any .rst files

thanks
