2012 AMD Hyper-V

Having an issue with AMD Hyper-V.

It was working with server 2008 r2 sp1.

Coreinfo reported it has SLAT support and would work with Server 12 \ W8

AMD website lists my processor as having the necessary support for Server 12 \ W8

I flashed to the latest BIOS

However, I cannot enable Hyper-V.  And the BIOS provides no handles that I can see - I've scoured it.

AMD Phenom II x4 975

Coreinfo reports SVM & NP are supported (*)

Help?

Thanks!

Hi,

Please check that if your server support virtualization, refer to the following article.

BTW, I want to say you should enable Hardware virtualization in the BIOS.

Thanks everyone.  It turns out that I needed to enable Secure Virtualization Mode in the BIOS.  I intentionally overlooked this setting because I stupidly confused it with Trusted Execution and because I have ran Hyper-V on this system before, without changing this setting.

This cleared up my confusion:  http://forums.amd.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=318&threadid=101780
