100% CPU Util with SMS_SYSTEM_STATE thread
Hi,
I'm new to sccm 2007. I have a secondary site distribution server that just sits on 100% util, all the time. On further investigation it appears to be the SMS_SYSTEM_STATE thread causing this. There are no errors in the statesys.log.
Can anyone tell me what SMS_SYSTEM_STATE is for please?
Regards

It's responsible for processing the state messages. Do you have any errors in the Statesys.log?Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Thanks Kent.
No there are no errors in the statesys.log. The log file appears to update every 15 mins.
Can I presume that state messages are clients reporting back their current status to the distribution server?
No packages are being pushed out yet still it sits at 100% CPU. I've rebooted, as you do, and it immediately shoots up to 100% util.
