0x800710dc configuring filestream for clustered instance

Hi,

I get "there was an unknown error applying the filestream settings("0x800710dc ") configuring my sql clustered instance with configuration manager. Not clear for me what I have to set for "Windows shared name".. Is it just an aliases or do I have to give the name of a shared disk ??

Get the same issue with SQL2012 and SQL2014..

The following error is reported when you have LSQ 2012  32 bit on a windows 64 bit machine.

Msg 5593, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

FILESTREAM feature is not supported on WoW64. The feature is disabled.

As per the MSDN article: You cannot enable FILESTREAM on a 32-bit version of SQL Server running on a
64-bit operating system.

Hi Chris,

Please ensure that you follow the instructions in below articles to configure FileStream for SQL Server failover cluster instances.

Set Up FILESTREAM on a Failover Cluster
Enable and Configure FILESTREAM

Regarding to the Windows Share Name, the name that you specify for Windows Share Name must be the same across all nodes in the cluster. In other words, you can create a folder on the your drive, sync both nodes and type the folder name on the Windows Share Name box. For more details, please review the following similar threads.
