How do I restore default file association for.tar files? They show notepad right now.

As tar files don't really have a program to be opened with, is this even possible? If not, is this an issue?

The DP is on Server 2012 R2

For processing the tar files on the DP, SCCM does not use the default program associated with the tar extension.

For SCCM, it really does not matter what the associated programs are for the files that it processes.
